In the latest update, alongside the anticipation of new characters, the amount of Primogems available in Genshin Impact has become a hot topic for players.
The 5.4 version recently released can be seen as a setback for miHoYo as they just rolled out a limited-time banner, yet failed to satisfy players due to the lack of engaging content in the banners. However, everything could change in version 5.5 that is set to arrive soon.
Specifically, starting now, a clear amount of Primogems that Genshin Impact players can receive in the 5.5 update has been revealed.
According to reports, many players are expressing their gratitude to miHoYo for this unexpected generosity. The total amount of Primogems that players can receive in version 5.5 will rise to 12,875, equivalent to 80 wishes, and players are guaranteed to obtain at least one 5-star character if they choose to spend their wishes on the character banners. Compared to version 5.4, players are sure to have more opportunities to work with the new content by exploring the Great Volcano of Tollan, where they can acquire around 1,400 Primogems.
The flagship event will also reward Genshin Impact players with a free Ororon, which is certainly one of the most valuable 4-star characters in recent times. If players also purchase the Welkin Moon and the Battle Pass, the total number of Primogems they can receive will reach up to 17,975 (approximately 112 wishes). This can be considered a significant amount, especially since version 5.5 is expected to feature the debut of Xilonen – a new high-tier character from the Natlan region.
The event banner for version 5.5 of Genshin Impact is expected to include characters such as Xilonen, Xianyun, Varesa, and Venti. Varesa is notably set to increase the value of Xianyun’s abilities, particularly for players who want to explore different playstyles beyond the current meta characters like Neuvillette, Arlecchino, and Mavuika. While it remains uncertain how Varesa will impact Genshin Impact after her release in version 5.5, players have already given her skills and playstyle much praise. Version 5.5 is slated for release on March 26.
