GAM Attends MSI 2025 but Will Not Have an Easy Journey
With the new competitive formats, the latest major tournaments of League of Legends (LoL) are expected to be more intense, and teams may face tougher challenges. In the APAC region, the recent tournament series has concluded, with two slots for MSI 2025 attributed to the CFO and GAM. However, only CFO holds a position in the playoffs, while GAM will begin its journey from the Wildcard round of APAC, facing a potentially tough road ahead.

Specifically, two of GAM’s three opponents are G2 and a team from the LPL, while the remaining opponent will be a representative from the LTA South region. Among these three teams, only one team from LTA South is considered a “dark horse” against the representatives from Vietnam. G2 is known for its strong performance, and if they play to their potential, the VCS representative will have minimal chances to compete.
Considering the four teams currently contending for the MSI slots, none can be regarded as an easy opponent for GAM. WE is showing strong form, while BLG and IG consistently perform well in this season. The team that stands out the most among the four is AL, yet the roster including top players (Flandre, Tarzan…) will not allow GAM to create any surprises similar to previous encounters against TES.

GAM’s Chances of Advancement are Quite Slim
It must be noted that GAM’s performance against TALON and CFO has been quite impressive. However, in three losses, GAM’s opponents exerted complete pressure. Notably, in game five, there was a sense of “drowning” for GAM right from the start of the match, with pressure mounting from the right-side representative of PCS.

However, teams like G2 or any LPL representatives will remain stronger and have a more significant impact than CFO. Thus, GAM’s journey will be exceptionally challenging, and if they falter, the VCS representative “flying colors” right from the start of the tournament could very well happen.
