A Recent Statistical Overview Reveals a Significant Revenue Discrepancy Between Two Star Characters Introduced in Genshin Impact: Xilonen, the Geo User from Natlan, and Venti, the Anemo Archon of Mondstadt.
Typically, each update of Genshin Impact is divided into two banner phases, with each phase featuring two limited-time star characters alongside a group of three common characters providing general support. Since the release of the Natlan region, each update has introduced at least one new star character, with Varesa being the latest, a user of the Liao element. Following the appearance of Varesa and her support character, Iansan, in the first banner of update 5.6, the second phase was dedicated to rerun banners, continuing the tradition of introducing an Archon every major update.

According to data from the reputable statistics site Paimon.moe, Xilonen currently accounts for 87% of the total revenue from the banners in the second phase of update 5.6, marking one of the largest revenue discrepancies in Genshin Impact’s history.
This result has not caused much surprise among the gaming community, as Xilonen is regarded as one of the most powerful characters introduced in the Natlan arc. Although the trend has leaned towards the underutilization of Geo characters recently, Xilonen’s enhanced mobility has quickly established her as a staple in many players’ teams.

Conversely, Venti’s lower revenue share reflects the shifts in player spending habits. As one of the first characters released back in 2020, many players have already obtained Venti in their collections. Despite being rated in the A or B tier of characters, particularly useful for controlling crowd dynamics, the recent emergence of numerous new support characters, including Xilonen, has shaken Venti’s position in the current meta.

It is noteworthy that prior to this return, Venti was the only Archon not to have been reintroduced since version 5.0, leading many to speculate that HoYoverse was pausing the re-release of Archons. However, the recent unique events in Genshin Impact have confirmed that the next update will feature a return of Raiden Shogun, the Archon of Inazuma.
