The first magical creature introduced is the Niffler, a mischievous being that resembles a cross between a mole and a duck-billed platypus. It has a particular fondness for shiny objects. After gathering these objects, it will burrow back into its cozy den.
Next up is the Bowtruckle, a creature that has brought many design challenges with over 200 versions created before settling on its final design. The Bowtruckle is a cute, twig-like creature that only eats insects and becomes aggressive when its tree is threatened.
The Thunderbird symbolizes one of the houses at Ilvermorny, the North American wizarding school. Newt encounters this majestic creature, named Frank, during his adventures.
“The Thunderbird is a large, majestic bird that can be found in the Arizona desert. Its appearance resembles that of a hippogriff, with large wings and a strong body. This bird is known to create storms with its wings. Moreover, it has a heightened sense of danger when threats are near.”
J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, will also make a special appearance in this film as a cameo. She has introduced a new magical creature named Swooping Evil.
“This creature is a hybrid between a butterfly and a large moth. When at rest, the Swooping Evil resembles a blue cocoon with spikes. It only appears when needed, and its venom can erase memories that are not pleasant.”
The Demiguise is described as a creature resembling a large round-eyed, gray-haired monkey that can become invisible when threatened. Its unique ability lies in foreseeing the future, making it difficult to catch.
Demiguise is considered a rare creature, as it can only be seen when it chooses to be. Its fur is valuable in the wizarding world for its use in creating invisibility cloaks.
Lastly, the Occamy is a creature that resembles a cross between a snake and a bird, with a serpentine body. This creature is born from a silver egg, and it can shrink or grow depending on its surroundings.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to enchant audiences who adore the wizarding world on November 18 of this year.
