It has been over a year since Half-Life 2 Episode 2 was released, and Valve still seems to lack the enthusiasm to develop the next steps for this series, with Half-Life 3 seemingly remaining out of reach for gamers.
Moreover, Half-Life 3 has indeed been forgotten by many. However, there are still those who cling to the hope of seeing Half-Life 3 make a comeback.

According to an inside source at Valve, Half-Life 3 is currently in development and undergoing positive testing.
This information was shared by a YouTuber named Gabe Follower, who has been digging into data (sourced from other Valve game files) while exploring more about Half-Life 3. Gabe Follower claims that someone within Valve has informed him that Half-Life 3 is indeed undergoing positive testing, indicating that it is not only in the discussion phase but also being actively developed by Valve’s teams.

Although there is still no concrete confirmation, it appears that gamers can find some comfort in the fact that Valve has reportedly hired a number of new development studios, including some staff who have previously worked on Half-Life and Left 4 Dead. Additionally, the YouTuber Gabe Follower has a fairly reputable background, having previously leaked detailed updates about Counter-Strike 2 as well as Valve’s upcoming game, Deadlock.

Currently, all we can do is wait and hope that Valve will soon confirm this project.
