Recently, Marvel officially released a teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Although the clip is less than one minute long and doesn’t reveal much, fans are extremely excited to reunite with Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Drax the Destroyer, Yondu, and baby Groot in this delightful adventure.
At the beginning of the clip, viewers can easily recognize the phrase “space travel for emergencies only” added to “or for fun.” This could very well be the work of the witty Rocket Raccoon, voiced by Bradley Cooper, who is portrayed as the MCU’s Deadpool with plenty of “snarky” remarks and humorous banter.
Perfectly inseparable
The musical score in the teaser also draws inspiration from the 80s, reminiscent of Star-Lord’s mixtape from the previous film. It is suspected that this is indeed volume 2, a gift from his long-lost mother that he finally gets to use at the end of the film. The humorous tone is very much in line with the film’s entertainment value, as viewers also enjoy seeing the characters “suit up” in their classic, albeit slightly tattered, outfits.
