Viper Reveals HLE’s Complete Victory Over T1
In a surprising turn of events, the match between T1 and HLE showcased a remarkable display from both teams. However, HLE demonstrated their superior strategy in the crucial fifth game, achieving an emotional “upset” victory over T1 with a score of 3-2. This win propels HLE into the next round of the playoffs for the 2025 LCK Cup, where they will face another formidable opponent, Gen.G.

Immediately following the match, questions arose regarding the strategies used by HLE to consistently outplay T1. Observers noted that T1’s approach differed significantly from their previous season, particularly with their over-reliance on Smash in the main lineup. In response to this, HLE’s star player Viper explained that while T1 had made personnel changes, their fundamental playing style remained heavily dependent on Oner and Keria.

“To face T1, we utilized the Fearless Draft strategy to effectively counter their strengths. Moreover, we analyzed that T1 would struggle significantly if Oner and Keria played freely without pressure. If we can get these two players to move aggressively, it will create substantial advantages for us. HLE managed to maintain focus, applying pressure on T1 to secure this victory,” Viper shared with reporters.

T1 Needs Significant Improvement for Future Matches
As indicated by Viper, T1’s current gameplay heavily relies on the ability to maneuver and create advantageous situations with Oner and Keria. The two wins that T1 secured against HLE stemmed from their players moving freely and applying pressure on the opposing team. However, T1 needs to develop a more adaptable strategy moving forward, especially as they face stronger opponents that could exploit their weaknesses. The fifth game was a perfect example when Oner frequently attempted to flank with Skarner while Keria’s Soraka struggled to make a significant impact.

With HLE’s recent victory, T1’s chances of competing in the 2025 LCK Cup have officially ended, diminishing their opportunity to participate in the upcoming First Stand tournament. This means that as they prepare for the LCK Road to MSI (starting from April), T1 will have to rethink their strategies. The next month will be crucial for T1 as they seek to improve their gameplay and adapt to the new Fearless Draft strategies. Hopefully, the lessons learned from this defeat will help T1 become a stronger team in the future.
