Recently, during the filming of the eighth installment of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) took to Facebook to praise the film’s crew and co-stars such as Charlize Theron, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez.
However, The Rock expressed his frustration towards some of the male co-stars, implying that they lacked professionalism and were “cowardly.” The filming process for this installment has reportedly made him “blood boil.” Notably, the male stars working alongside The Rock include Vin Diesel, Scott Eastwood, Jason Statham, Ludacris, and Tyrese.
According to TMZ, Vin Diesel—the lead actor and producer of the film—was the counterpart that The Rock wanted to address. The tension arose due to Vin Diesel’s decisions regarding the production, which The Rock felt were not in line with his expectations.
TMZ further reported that on August 9, both actors had a secret meeting to resolve their differences, as the ongoing conflicts had become too significant, leading to disruptions in filming. As of now, the details of the arrangement remain unclear.
According to TMZ, The Rock’s anger stems from significant frustrations with the behavior of some male stars on set. However, he did not specify anyone in his recent Facebook post, which left some co-stars feeling uneasy, as it raised suspicions about who he was referring to.
In addition, with only a week left until filming wraps up, The Rock’s post has stirred the pot, adding to the tension among the cast. One actor remarked, “This is a terrible way to end the filming process.”
As of now, The Rock has yet to clarify in his Facebook post whom he was referring to. However, sources from TMZ indicate that Tyrese and Ludacris are not included in the list of potential targets.
