Batman’s Traditional Suit
According to Michael Wolkinson, the suit worn by Bruce Wayne (played by Ben Affleck) in the film Justice League will have several distinct similarities to that in Batman V Superman. However, this will also serve as a foundation for the creative designers to explore. It is expected that Batman’s new suit will feature a color scheme dominated by gray and black, reminiscent of the traditional look.
The new armor with additional protective layers added to the forearms has undergone a design change.
One of the most significant design changes is the addition of armored plates on the lower part of the suit, which serve to protect against blunt force trauma while also providing thermal insulation to help him withstand extreme conditions during battle:
“One of the details that Zack wanted to emphasize in this suit is to make it feel more practical, especially when he throws out his bat rope. We’ve designed his forearms to resemble those of ancient samurai. And as you know, Bruce trained in martial arts in Japan, so this isn’t too surprising. Alongside that, we also wanted to make this suit look more contemporary and… edgy,” Wilkinson shared.
The new suit is edgier compared to the version in Batman V Superman.
Additionally, Wilkinson and his design team have crafted a new utility belt for this suit, though it is less noticeable. The belt will feature various compartments designed to blend seamlessly with Batman’s overall aesthetic. This will also introduce advanced technology that will enhance Batman’s communication with Alfred and other members of the Justice League.
However, to face the imminent dangers alongside the Justice League, the traditional suit alone is not sufficient; our Batman has also created an additional combat armor specifically for unique scenarios.
Combat Armor.
Currently, images of this combat armor have not been officially released and are still under development by the design teams. The combat scenes featuring this armor are expected to be revealed within the next two months, and according to Wilkinson, it took about two years to create this suit. This armor is designed to be a specialized combat outfit, equipped with multiple layers of protection, ensuring that it is capable of withstanding the most intense battles.
The tactical armor is designed to be highly adaptable.
