Currently, according to reports, although the DVD version of the Warcraft movie has been released for quite some time, it will officially be launched on September 27. To promote this event, a behind-the-scenes video has been released for the audience, showcasing the incredible aerial scenes that were created in the film, including shots of Gryphon flying and intense battle sequences.
To create the impressive flying scenes on the back of the Gryphon, actor Travis Fimmel had to ride on a mechanical bird… which was actually a green screen. This allowed for the creation of stunning visuals of him soaring through the sky (in reality, he was sitting against a green backdrop).
The mechanical bird used in the film’s scenes was placed on a vibrating platform, simulating the movement of a Gryphon in flight. However, actor Travis Fimmel had to rely heavily on his imagination, as he was often depicted soaring while surrounded only by a few props in a completely green room.
The DVD version of the film will feature more behind-the-scenes footage compared to the clip above. Additionally, a collectible Warcraft figure will be included along with a comic version of the movie in the DVD package. Of course, the most notable part will be the deleted scenes that were cut during production, which will also be included in this DVD release.
