Ms. Phạm, a popular streamer and an influencer known by the name Gia Được, has been revealed to be a fan of Ms. Phạm. Interestingly, they are also involved in a romantic relationship at the idol level – both are admirers of each other.
Three months ago, during a heated argument, Gia Được unexpectedly punched Ms. Phạm in the face. He was detained for 7 days and fined 200,000 Vietnamese Dong (over $700) for the offense of assaulting another person.
Before being taken into custody, Gia Được wrote a letter to Ms. Phạm stating: “I had a mobile phone in my hand, I pushed her into the car, causing her mouth to hit the phone, resulting in a bruise. I intended to compensate her with 100,000 Vietnamese Dong (about $355) for further treatment and emotional distress.”
Reports from the investigation reveal that Ms. Phạm suffered “bruises and soft tissue injuries on the right side of her face” and “lacerations.” The female streamer noted that after being injured in the mouth, her live streaming program was severely impacted, drastically reducing her income. She requested that Gia Được quickly return the 100,000 Vietnamese Dong, but he only sent her 5,480 Vietnamese Dong (about $20). As a result, she filed a complaint at the People’s Court.
Recently, when the court opened a hearing session, Gia Được was absent. His lawyer stated at court that the damages suffered by Ms. Phạm were caused by the mobile phone incident, and the other male fan only wanted compensation of 15,000 Vietnamese Dong, but that was all.
A reporter contacted the assailant immediately after the incident to confirm that the only injury he received was a minor bruise.
