Kochikame, officially known as Ochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikoen-mae Hashutsujo, holds the title of the longest-running manga series in Japan, with over 200 volumes published over a span of more than 40 years.
Recently, to commemorate the conclusion of this iconic manga series, a special edition of the story has been released. This edition features a unique format: it is printed on a long scroll of paper, showcasing the adventures of Kochikame – The Master Detective.
This special edition is printed on a scroll measuring 3.8 meters in length instead of the traditional book format. Readers can open it page by page, experiencing the story as if reading an ancient scroll.
Previously, there was a version of Kochikame that measured up to 8 meters long, which was presented at Kanda Shrine in Tokyo.
Currently, this mini edition of the manga is being sold for 2,700 yen (approximately 540,000 VND).
