Fans have been witnessing the thrilling conclusion of the supernatural journey regarding the powerful sorcerer techniques that Gege Akutami has introduced in Jujutsu Kaisen. In many films, most characters tend to meet tragic ends and die at the conclusion, as seen in Jujutsu Kaisen. It is quite surprising that not many characters faced their demise in the final part.
Despite the original King of Curses, Sukuna, unleashing all his power, only a few characters were lost in the final arc, and even among those, only a couple could be considered significant. This opens the door for several characters to meet a satisfying end, including the beloved Gojo and Okkotsu Yuta. In reality, Yuta’s conclusion was quite fulfilling, especially as it established a unique relationship at the end of the story.
How Did Yuta Survive the Battle in Shinjuku in Jujutsu Kaisen?
In the Shinjuku Showdown arc, Yuta not only faced off against Kenjaku but also had the opportunity to confront Sukuna, right after the battle with Gojo. Yuta performed remarkably well when up against Sukuna, but unfortunately, the interference caused by Megumi led to Yuta’s defeat. Just like Gojo, he also faced Sukuna’s devastating attacks that could have easily ended his life.

Fortunately for Yuta, Rika managed to save him, providing him with a shield, and Ui Ui was able to bring him to Shoko’s place to recover his strength. Yuta’s determination was further tested when he took on Gojo’s abilities to battle Sukuna once again, all while utilizing Kenjaku’s ability to switch forms. Regrettably, Yuta’s original techniques had burned out by the time he realized he could potentially defeat Sukuna. In the end, it was Rika who came to his rescue.
Yuta Ended Up with Maki at the Conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen

Fans are well aware that Yuta survived the Shinjuku Showdown arc and even returned to his original form after switching with Gojo. Many years later, fans learned that Yuta had built a large family. His two grandchildren were introduced, though the names of the grandchildren were not revealed; however, fans know who they belong to. Yuta’s granddaughter looks remarkably like him, while his grandson resembles Maki and Megumi.
It is clear that Yuta and Maki, two characters known for their exceptional chemistry in JJK, ended up together and started a family by the end of the story. Fans did not get to see Yuta or Maki in the epilogue, but just by looking at the grandchildren, it is evident that they ended up together.
Fans hope that Jujutsu Kaisen will have another epilogue someday, where they can see Yuta and Maki together. There is also a possibility that Gege will comment on their new relationship at some point in the future, and fans will be incredibly delighted to hear it directly from the creator. For now, fans can simply be happy knowing that both characters have built a family together.
