Anime filler episodes are among the least favored aspects of anime as they often do not contribute to the main storyline. However, they can also have positive effects. Filler episodes typically help to build the world and create deeper connections between the characters.
Jujutsu Kaisen is known for not having any filler episodes, staying true to the original manga. This benefits the anime, but it also sacrifices some necessary moments for character development.
In Season 1, the anime addressed this by adding a few humorous details at the end of each episode, collectively referred to as ‘Jujutsu Stroll.’ However, these after-credit segments were notably absent in Season 2. This absence has left many viewers feeling dissatisfied and wanting more.
One fan remarked: “Jujutsu Kaisen is the only fandom that wants more filler episodes.”
Another fan expressed disappointment: “I feel that the lack of filler arcs or side stories in Shonen is a significant oversight compared to all the filler episodes we usually get in other Shonen anime. It’s truly unfortunate because often I just want to see the characters thrown into humorous situations.”
Whether Jujutsu Kaisen will address these fan desires for changes in future seasons remains uncertain, especially as Season 3 approaches.
