As the conclusion of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen approaches, there has been a fierce debate regarding the results of the popularity poll conducted.
The results of the fourth popularity poll have been announced in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. In June, we already learned about the three characters who secured the top spots in this round, including a notable character who was a dark horse. Gojo has claimed the top position, marking his first win as a fan-favorite character in Jujutsu Kaisen, after previously ranking second or third in earlier polls. Not only that, he also received an overwhelming number of votes totaling 113,392, far surpassing the following ranks.

Gojo is the most beloved character in the series overall, likely due to his impressive feats. The other two characters in the top three are Yuji with 48,131 votes and Megumi with 28,502 votes.
However, one position in the top 10 ranking has left fans completely perplexed. Naoya Zenin ranked fifth with 11,731 votes, just behind Geto who was in fourth place.
This means he ranked higher than some of the most popular characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, such as Choso, Yuta, Nanami, Sukuna, and Toji.

Naoya is a member of the Zenin family and serves as a key antagonist in the storyline revolving around Maki. However, it is not just his ranking that has baffled fans but rather his character traits. Naoya embodies an elitist mentality, always looking down on Maki and Mai because they are women and were born with very little or no cursed energy.
After being defeated by Maki in the Perfect Preparation arc, he dies in a fit of rage for being outsmarted by a woman. This leads to his reincarnation as a cursed spirit, and Maki ultimately encounters him once again.
Therefore, there is no logical reason for this character to receive so many votes. However, Naoya managed to achieve this by somehow winning over the voting community, leaving fans of Jujutsu Kaisen feeling quite perplexed.
Some even commented: “Naoya is fifth while Maki is not even in the top 10 and Nobara is the same…”.
“How come Naoya ranks higher than Sukuna and Nanami? And I still don’t understand why anyone would vote for Naoya instead of Toji.”, another user expressed.
While the results of the popularity poll have sparked fierce debate about the reasons behind the high ranking, fans of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 267 have seen a beloved character return from the dead.
