In a recent interview with The Mirror, Kate Winslet recalled her “uncomfortable” experience while filming Revolutionary Road alongside lead actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The reason was that during this film, she had to perform “hot scenes” with Leo, while her then-husband, Sam Mendes, was directing.
“Every situation was uncomfortable because we were right there. This was definitely a challenging experience,” the actress admitted.
Despite this, Leo continued to praise Kate Winslet immensely. The actor didn’t hesitate to affirm that the star born in 1975 is an incredibly professional actress, which is also why both of them managed to complete this scene without taking too much time.

“We have always tried to find a way to collaborate with each other. Every situation is quite natural. She is indeed my best friend,” Leo continued to express his admiration for his co-star at that time.
“We have been able to overcome every boundary together,” Leo added, “The truth is, we have been good friends for many years, and that is the bond. There is definitely a level of comfort between us, and we challenge each other with our acting.”
Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio first starred together in the classic film Titanic. Since then, both have remained close friends and have supported each other in pursuing their acting careers. As of now, Leo and Kate continue to be good friends. Meanwhile, Kate and director Sam Mendes divorced in 2010. They share a son, Joe, who is 10 years old.
