Levi Joins Faker in the “Top Tier” Ranking at MSI 2025
In less than a week, the first matches of MSI 2025 will officially commence, featuring the performances of competing teams in the Playins stage. This year, the representative of VCS – GAM Esports – is expected to face numerous challenges in this year’s tournament, and many fans are concerned that they may not be able to advance past the Playin stage. However, participating in MSI in Vancouver this year has helped Levi to be ranked alongside Faker in a recent statistical overview ahead of the tournament.

According to the statistics, with his participation in MSI 2025, Levi has become one of the top 3 oldest players in the list of 5 oldest participants in this international tournament, which is the second largest in the professional League of Legends scene. On this list, he ranks below Kaiwing and, of course, Faker – the oldest participant at MSI 2025. Faker has also been a participant in many MSI seasons, having only missed MSI 2018 and MSI 2021 since his debut in 2015.

Levi’s Achievements and the Challenges Facing VCS at MSI
Although they may be seen as a skilled team, the GAM squad is quite familiar with international tournaments in the professional League of Legends scene. However, Levi and GAM have yet to demonstrate their potential to advance far, especially in this year’s tournament. The goal of GAM and VCS prior to now has primarily included: striving to achieve as many milestones as possible while maintaining a position that guarantees at least 2 qualifications for the World Championship for the VCS region.

However, the situation has changed since VCS merged with APAC ahead of the 2025 season. Nevertheless, this merger and previous tournament achievements may not necessarily reflect the best outcomes for VCS representatives in the upcoming matches. Given the circumstances, GAM will need to work hard to secure at least one victory to be considered successful in the tournament.
