It can be said that this is an extraordinary period for actor Tom Hiddleston, who has continuously encountered wonderful things in both his career and personal life. He has just been nominated for an Emmy Award for his role in The Night Manager, starred in the blockbuster Kong: Skull Island, and on top of that, he is rumored to be dating the beautiful singer Taylor Swift.
However, all of his recent successes have led fans to wonder whether Tom Hiddleston has moved on from his iconic role as Loki in the Marvel universe. It has been three years since Hiddleston last appeared as Loki in Thor: The Dark World, and he has not shared much information about this character since then.
In a recent press conference after the Emmy nominations, our “handsome Loki” hinted at his upcoming appearance in Thor: Ragnarok. According to him, Loki’s role in the next installment will not be as Thor’s direct adversary.
“It will definitely be a big battle. However, I don’t think I will have to fight with him (Thor) at all. There might be some spoilers here, but that’s all I can say to you guys.”
Thus, it seems that Loki will still have a presence in Thor: Ragnarok, but he will not be Thor’s direct enemy. This has raised quite a few eyebrows among fans, especially considering that at the end of Thor: The Dark World, Loki had disguised himself as Odin and seized the throne.
In this new installment, if the revelations come to light, Thor will certainly confront his brother for daring to impersonate Odin and seize the throne. So why is Thor not fighting with Loki? This could potentially be a significant plot twist that we need to unravel in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok.
The highly anticipated Thor: Ragnarok is set to be released on November 3, 2017.
