Playing the Role of Empress in the New Mobile Game
After winning a BAFTA award for Invisible Gun, New One studio has once again made the community “restless” with the announcement of Road to Empress – a game/interactive film presented in FMV (Full Motion Video) format, allowing players to directly embody the Empress to gain power over Empress.
With over 100 branching storylines and Ultra HD 4K filming technology, Road to Empress delivers a vibrant, immersive experience, bringing authenticity to every detail. This game is set against the backdrop of the grand imperial palace during the rare and precarious Golden Age. Players can make decisions impacting every interaction, from subtle glances to significant actions, altering the course of the narrative. The game follows Empress – a young woman in the royal court, who rises to the highest throne, becoming the sole Empress in Chinese history.
An Immersive Role-Playing Experience
Unlike typical simulation games, Road to Empress is a unique blend of cinematic storytelling and interactive gameplay. Players do not control characters through traditional means; instead, they must navigate through choices of actions, dialogues, and strategies to influence the narrative.
Road to Empress incorporates time-limited actions (QTE – Quick Time Events), where players must respond quickly to unexpected events such as assassination attempts, intrigues, or navigating complex court situations. Making the wrong choice could lead to disastrous outcomes, potentially leading to the downfall of many characters in the imperial court.
Players will face challenging decisions such as: preserving the status quo or breaking traditional norms to protect their interests? Will they forgive transgressions or seek revenge? Additionally, there are emotional choices that deepen the role-playing experience in Road to Empress, enhancing both the drama and engagement.
Currently, Road to Empress has officially opened pre-registration on Android, iOS, and PC (via Steam). Players can pre-register early through the Google Play Store, App Store, or add it to their wish list on Steam to not miss the official release date set for September 30.
