Garena Free Fire secured its position as the most downloaded mobile game globally in December 2024. Following closely is Block Blast!, with Roblox, Subway Surfers, and Pokémon TCG Pocket rounding out the top names.
According to Sensor Tower’s App Performance Insights, Garena Free Fire experienced over 35.2 million downloads in December 2024, bringing its total downloads to an impressive 1.82 billion.
In particular, India accounted for 42% of the new downloads, followed by Indonesia with 17.8% and Brazil with 6.3%.
Block Blast!, a game published by Hungry Studio, claimed the second spot with a remarkable 367 million downloads since its launch in March 2022. The game has gained popularity in markets like the United States, India, Brazil, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Throughout 2024, Hungry Studio’s strategy to attract users was particularly strong on Instagram and TikTok.
The remaining titles in the top five for download counts include Roblox, Subway Surfers, and Pokémon TCG Pocket.
Last War: Survival Breaks Records, Revenue Ranks #1 in Mobile Games
According to Sensor Tower’s App Performance Insights, Last War: Survival was the highest-grossing mobile game worldwide in December 2024. This achievement was attributed to the Christmas Celebration event held on December 23, which attracted a large number of players participating in various festive activities and exclusive rewards from the publisher.
Additionally, FirstFun effectively drew in users by investing heavily in advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. These efforts significantly increased interaction rates and player spending, helping the game achieve top revenue rankings. In fact, Last War: Survival rose four positions to claim the title of the highest-grossing mobile game globally in December 2024.
Pokémon TCG Pocket, the mobile version of this trading card game, secured the second position in global revenue rankings after a month of successful promotion. The Mythical Island update released on December 17 introduced exclusive card packs, incorporating rare Pokémon that spurred user purchases.
