In the latest issue, the 49th edition of the Monthly Big Comic Spirit magazine, published by Shogakukan last week, an exciting news piece has been released for fans of the Japanese “brain hack” manga genre. It was announced that the renowned creator of detective manga such as Billy Bat, Pluto, 20th Century Boys, and Monsters, Naoki Urasawa, will be unveiling a new work.
The announcement follows a one-shot manga titled “DAMiYAN!” by Urasawa, which revolves around two members of a Yakuza group who encounter a mysterious elderly man named DAMiYAN, harboring deeply hidden powers.
Currently, details about the new work’s content and its storyline are still under wraps; however, it is certain that the manga will be released in 2017.
For those who may not be familiar, Naoki Urasawa is celebrated for his impressive detective and thriller manga series. His work, Monster, is regarded as one of the masterpieces of the Japanese manga industry.
