Kishimoto’s Thoughts on Continuing Naruto’s Story

Masashi Kishimoto has expressed that he does not wish to continue the story of Naruto as he feels he has already conveyed everything he intended. He has a strong desire to create a new universe within the Naruto franchise by starting from scratch, allowing characters to embark on new adventures without being bound by past events. Imagine a new world with Naruto, similar yet different, filled with fresh narratives!
However, this idea did not come to fruition as the entire editorial team has shifted focus to the Boruto series, leaving no room for a return to Naruto.
Boruto introduces numerous new elements in a technologically advanced setting, even leading some fans of Naruto to feel a sense of disconnection. With the emergence of powerful robots, traditional ninjas appear to be reminiscent of characters in a bygone era.

If the project were to revive Naruto successfully, the storyline could delve deeper into supporting characters such as Rock Lee and Neji Hyuga. Despite their potential, Kishimoto’s initial concept has unfortunately been overshadowed by the Boruto project, leaving him with no means to realize his vision.
