Takao Koyama is one of the notable writers behind the iconic animated series Dragon Ball, and he has some thoughts to share. He has decided to clarify which form of Majin Buu he considers to be the strongest. Unfortunately, it’s not Kid Buu. This insight comes from the perspective of a seasoned scriptwriter who has brought the series to life.

Dragon Ball Z introduced audiences to a “deep antagonist” character who left a significant mark on the series. From Raditz’s initial appearance to the subsequent arcs involving Frieza and Cell, Dragon Ball has consistently depicted epic battles.
Afterward, Akira Toriyama continued to introduce the formidable character Majin Buu to the narrative. Majin Buu is a general term for a creature born from a certain context and possesses immense power. It has a rubber-like body, allowing it to regenerate its original form even if it is completely destroyed; it could still recreate itself. Notably, its unique ability is to absorb anything, enhancing its strength significantly.
Throughout Dragon Ball, Majin Buu underwent numerous transformations, each with distinct personalities and objectives. From its original form to transformations like Evil Buu and Super Buu, Majin Buu has become one of the most dynamic and dangerous characters in the series.

Recently, Takao Koyama took to Twitter to clarify which form of Buu he considers the strongest, a statement that might surprise some fans.
Previously, many believed that Kid Buu was the strongest incarnation of this iconic character. Kid Buu is the original form of Buu, characterized by a ruthless, cold-blooded killer devoid of any humanity. Buu had annihilated countless civilizations under the command of Bibidi.
However, according to Koyama, Super Buu, after absorbing Ultimate Gohan, is the true strongest form of Buu.

At that time, Ultimate Gohan was the strongest Z fighter. However, he was still unable to surpass Super Buu, who had absorbed Gotenks and Piccolo. After Ultimate Gohan was absorbed by Buu, even Goku and Vegeta couldn’t face him alone. Only through the fusion of Goku and Vegeta using the Potara earrings to become Vegito could they challenge this formidable opponent.
Now, in Dragon Ball Super, Buu has undergone some changes. He has reincarnated into Uub. Who knows what the future holds for this enigmatic character? Perhaps we will see much more of Uub’s untapped potential in upcoming sagas or even in the next film.
