The world of One Piece features a type of mysterious fruit known collectively as the Devil Fruit, which grants users various supernatural abilities but takes away their ability to swim. Devil Fruits form the core power system within the One Piece universe. Over the years, fans have observed numerous Devil Fruits throughout the story. While many powers have been introduced to the audience, only a select few Devil Fruits have had their designs revealed by the creator, Eiichiro Oda.

However, over time, Oda has gradually unveiled the designs of some of the most significant Devil Fruits for fans, such as the Mochi Mochi no Mi of Katakuri, the Hana Hana no Mi of Nico Robin, the Yomi Yomi no Mi of Brook, and the Mero Mero no Mi of Boa Hancock. Recently, two more Devil Fruit designs were revealed in the latest chapter of One Piece, Chapter 17.
Design of the Goro Goro no Mi
The first newly revealed Devil Fruit in Chapter 17 of One Piece is the Goro Goro no Mi, which was consumed by Enel. This fruit has a yellow color, similar to how Oda depicted lightning in One Piece. The fruit has a round shape, adorned with many spikes resembling lightning bolts, featuring swirling patterns on its surface. It is easy to identify that this Devil Fruit is related to electricity and grants immense power to its user. This design is considered exceptionally striking.

This chapter of One Piece also delves deeply into the powers of this Devil Fruit. As previously mentioned, the Goro Goro no Mi belongs to the Logia type, allowing the user to transform and control electricity. The electric currents generated when utilizing this Devil Fruit can reach an astonishing 200 million volts or even higher.
The power of the Goro Goro no Mi is incredibly vast, and only a few Devil Fruits can be compared to it. It is said to be one of the few fruits capable of engaging in combat within the One Piece universe. The strength that Goro Goro no Mi grants its user can easily destroy islands in a straightforward manner.
Design of the Horo Horo no Mi
Chapter 17 of One Piece also reveals the design of the Horo Horo no Mi, which was consumed by Perona, a former member of the Thriller Bark pirate crew.

The Horo Horo no Mi has a rather unique shape. The fruit divides into five branches from a common base, resembling a flower. The shape of each branch is reminiscent of the ghostly orbs that Perona can create. Each branch has two faces, indicating that this Devil Fruit possesses powers related to manipulating ghosts. The tips of the branches are spiraled, confirming that this is indeed a Devil Fruit.
When discussing the powers of the Horo Horo no Mi, it is important to note that this fruit belongs to the Paramecia type, allowing the user to create ghosts and control them.
Users can manifest various forms of ghosts, all of which have the ability to evade most physical attacks, as the essence of the ghost is “intangible.” The primary characteristic of the Horo Horo no Mi is its capacity to instill negative emotions in people, making them feel despair. Even Haki cannot prevent the effects of this Devil Fruit’s powers.
