One Piece is a popular Shonen manga that depicts the ongoing battle between pirates and the government. Despite having numerous battles, the series has seen relatively few significant character deaths throughout its run.
In fact, most of the notable deaths have occurred in side stories. The creator, Eiichiro Oda, tends not to kill off many main characters, often bringing them back to life even after sustaining severe injuries.
However, the manga is approaching its conclusion, and many characters are expected to meet their demise in the near future. The Egghead Arc has already featured several emotional moments and a few deaths. While the fates of Garp, Kid, Law, and Edison remain uncertain, the following character deaths have been confirmed in the Egghead Arc so far.
1. Saint Mjosgard

Saint Mjosgard is a supporting character introduced in the Fishman Island Arc. He once resembled the other Celestial Dragons before Princess Otohime saved him from being attacked by a sea monster. Since then, Saint Mjosgard has changed his lifestyle and has shown respect for other races.
During the Reverie event, Saint Charlos attempted to turn Shirahoshi into his personal pet, with only Mjosgard willing to stand up against Charlos to protect the princess. However, after the incident, Saint Figarland Garling punished him severely for his actions.
2. King Nefertari Cobra

Sabo is being blamed for the death of King Nefertari Cobra, but the Egghead Arc has revealed that Imu and the Gorosei must also take responsibility for this event. In the throne room, Cobra became aware of Imu’s existence and recalled the name of the queen, which was “Nefertari D. Lily.”
Consequently, Imu and the Gorosei will not allow Cobra to survive for any reason. Sabo, who was hiding behind a pillar, emerged and fought against Imu when he realized that King Nefertari Cobra’s life was in danger. Despite his efforts, Sabo was unable to save Cobra, and he ultimately escaped from Pangea Castle after witnessing the overwhelming power of Imu.
3. Shaka

Shaka is one of the Vegapunk satellites, representing the aspect of “wisdom.” He is the leader of the Mū Rōm faction but was killed by York. Shaka’s death was unexpectedly swift, and the manga later revealed York’s involvement in this incident.
York not only orchestrated Shaka’s assassination but also took advantage of the chaos to assist Imu. York’s ultimate goal is to become a Celestial Dragon, and she will not hesitate to betray anyone until she achieves her objectives.
4. Pythagoras

Pythagoras is another Vegapunk satellite, representing the aspect of “intellect.” The situation on Egghead deteriorated quickly after the shocking revelation. Pythagoras was killed by S-Snake shortly after Shaka’s demise. His main body was destroyed, leaving no possibility for Pythagoras to return.
5. Atlas

The Mū Rōm group and Vegapunk could not escape from Egghead as Imu continued to pursue them. Zoro and Jinbe managed to hold off Nusjuro, but they were overwhelmed by Imu’s power. After defeating Lilith, Atlas returned to the Thousand Sunny and prepared to face Nusjuro.
Although Lilith was incapacitated, York did not seem to notice Atlas’s presence. Atlas captured Nusjuro and raised him high into the sky before he could react. Despite this attack not being enough to seriously injure Nusjuro, it did buy precious time for the Straw Hat crew to escape.
