The powerful Devil Fruits in the Logia category are like a set of colors that bring forth the vibrant and majestic attributes in the world of One Piece. They almost hold every possible dark and sinister power that a person could ever dream of. With many alluring dark powers being portrayed, more individuals have been captivated, often reminiscing about the time when they might have aspired to possess such powers for themselves.
The creator of the One Piece series – Eiichiro Oda, has also chosen to align himself with the character traits and humorous quirks of his own design.

In the SBS section of Chapter 111, Oda was asked which two Devil Fruits he would choose if given the opportunity to eat two of them. Without hesitation, he promptly selected the Suke Suke no Mi and after a moment’s thought, he also chose the Wapu Wapu no Mi of Van Augur.
Of course, the intended uses of these two Devil Fruits when combined are obvious, particularly in relation to Sanji’s desire to enhance his image when peeking at women in the restroom. To lighten the mood, Oda continued to assert his choice of these two Devil Fruits could serve the purpose of aiding others. His exact response in the SBS was as follows:
“Eeeh! I could have two Devil Fruits? Suke Suke no Mi (surely) and which one… Wapu Wapu no Mi (definitely subjective)! Because I could serve my guests (due to the name)!”
Eiichiro Oda’s choice of Devil Fruits clearly indicates that Sanji is indeed a reflection of his character.
As it may seem, in Chapter 464, Sanji has a dream revealed in one of his subconscious moments, apart from seeking the All Blue; it is to become a gentleman who respects women. Although Sanji does not show much interest in the powers of Devil Fruits throughout the main timeline of One Piece, Chapter 464 does reveal a unique insight into this rule, where Sanji dreams of eating the Suke Suke no Mi.
This dream was shattered quite sadly by the fact that Absalom had already consumed the Suke Suke no Mi, leading to Sanji nurturing a deeper disappointment with himself during the battle against the Straw Hats on Thriller Bark. Just as Oda noted in the latest SBS, Sanji expresses his desire for strength due to significant reasons related to treating women well, despite the fact that his exterior might seem otherwise.

The reason behind Sanji’s desire for this power is to better observe women, whether in the ladies’ restroom or changing rooms, as he has revealed through his ongoing struggles.
Oda’s response in the SBS of One Piece Chapter 111 not only serves as a charming nod to this moment but also demonstrates that Sanji is entirely inspired by Oda himself.
Furthermore, in the SBS of Chapter 32, when Oda was asked why Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp were involved in peeking at Nami and Vivi during a scene in Chapter 213, Oda’s response was as follows:
“Why, you ask? Well, because all the boys are just those strong guys. I didn’t think there needed to be any other reason besides that. But as for Chopper, that guy might have done that just because everyone else did. Truthfully speaking, I don’t want to peek at an attractive girl when she’s bathing, as it would be a huge disrespect to the girl in my opinion, ah, I mean, in Sanji’s opinion.”
