1. Three Scars on Shanks’ Face
Before the loss of the scar, many One Piece fans had speculated that the scars on Shanks’ face were caused by Mihawk. This accusation arose because Mihawk and Shanks have a rather unique relationship, not only as rivals but also as former comrades. We even remember Mihawk visiting Shanks in the Foosha Village while he was hiding to deliver a poster of Luffy.
After this detail, many people concluded that Shanks had fought against Mihawk in the past, and Mihawk had inflicted three scars on Shanks’ face. However, it turns out that the scars on the left side of Shanks’ face were actually caused by Marshall D. Teach, also known as Blackbeard.
