The Elbaf arc is one of the most anticipated storylines in the manga One Piece. So far, this arc has introduced many intriguing mysteries and introduced several new main characters.
In previous chapters, the manga delved deeper into the legend of the Sun God Nika and the violent actions of Loki in the past. It also hinted at Luffy’s next plans and revealed the identity of a mysterious invader in Elbaf. The female character named Gunko is a member of the Allied Forces of Elbaf.
Now, in chapter 1137 of One Piece, the identity of the mysterious old man resembling Shanks has finally been revealed.
Chapter 1137 is titled ‘Shamrock Appears’. The cover page introduces the next part of Yamato’s journey in Wano, revealing that the Oni group has invaded Who’s Who’s den.
The next chapter focuses on Luffy’s group along with Zoro, Nami, and Road as they venture into a mysterious castle where remnants of fallen soldiers from the Loki event lay. Only Loki and Jarul survived the incident.
Three Mû Râm members notice that some of the fallen soldiers are still alive. Road explains that it is because some of the fallen soldiers bear the bloodline of the ancient ones. King Harald also survives, but he has become a shadow of himself due to the trauma he endured.
Road also mentions the connection between Loki and Hajruddin, who share a different father. Hajruddin’s mother cannot become the queen of Elbaf. A flashback reveals that Road and Hajruddin were together when they were younger.
In a twist of fate, Gunko attacks Loki and the remaining enemies with powerful techniques derived from Arrow Arrow no Mi. However, Loki continues to resist, seeking to join the Allied Forces and become a Heavenly Dragon Man.
The mysterious old man has finally been identified. He is Figarland Shamrock, the commander of the Allied Forces and the son of Garling. Shamrock bears a striking resemblance to Shanks, except for his longer hair and the absence of a scar on his face.
One Piece chapter 1137 has conclusively revealed that Shanks is the mysterious old man.
This chapter also confirms several theories regarding Shanks’ connection to Garling and the World Government.
The chapter concludes with Shamrock and Gunko revealing that their mission is to bring Elbaf into the control of the World Government.
