This revelation not only creates shockwaves but also highlights the significant role of a character who has been absent for a long time: Vivi, the princess of Arabasta.
Imu has made their intentions regarding Vivi clear
Although not directly “pulling the strings” in the main events, Princess Vivi’s role is crucial, placing her in a dangerous spiral from the very beginning of the Reverie. Imu, the highest authority of the world, has been haunted by images of Vivi, alongside Luffy and Shirahoshi, indicating her extraordinary importance.
Recently, Oda hinted that Imu has issued a command to capture Vivi following King Cobra’s assassination. Even though CP0 managed to escape and narrowly avoided Wapol, Vivi has not yet escaped the dangerous spiral, and the threat from the World Government is still very much alive, despite her having sent a signal for help to the Straw Hat Pirates.
Imu wants Vivi to become a “vessel”
If there is one thing that the recent events in the Elbaf arc of One Piece have confirmed, it is that Imu desires Vivi to become a “vessel.” Oda has only revealed to the readers that Imu has been controlling Gunko in Elbaf. Among all the Holy Land’s entities, Imu has specifically targeted Gunko.
At the same time, Gunko has been implied to be a princess of some ancient kingdom. This situation is eerily similar to Vivi. For some undisclosed reason, Imu is intent on turning princesses into vessels. This is especially true for Vivi, who Imu seems to want more than anyone else, potentially because she is the direct descendant of Lily.
Furthermore, there is a strong possibility that Imu has possessed Lily’s power for a very long time. It is essential to note that Lily never returned after the Great War ended. To this day, her whereabouts remain unknown. The most likely scenario is that Imu has been using the powers of the princess similarly to how they did with Gunko, and this could be directly related to the ancient weapon Uranus.
Just as Shirahoshi is the key to Poseidon, Lily is the key to Uranus, which is likely the reason why Imu wants her. Now, Uranus could potentially be reincarnated as Vivi, and Imu wants her to utilize the full extent of the ancient weapon’s power, meaning Vivi could play a significant role in the Final Saga.
