From the very beginning of the story, Nami has played a crucial role, even if her abilities are not as prominent as those of other crew members such as Luffy, Zoro, or Sanji.
Nami serves as the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates. The navigator’s role is critical when sailing through the Grand Line, a place full of unpredictability and danger, where only the best navigators can safely lead a ship from one island to another.
Despite not boasting immense physical strength, Nami has proven exceptionally skilled over the two years that have passed. She possesses crucial knowledge for battles in the New World. Nami’s Importance in Countering the Gorosei
Nami has already established her importance, but she will play an even more significant role in the Final Saga of One Piece. As many fans have speculated, the characters who have made a pact with Imu may possess extraordinary abilities, one of which is the ability to counter. With this power, a character cannot be killed and can potentially resurrect indefinitely. Nevertheless, even such immense power has its limits, as seen in the Elbaf arc. Gaban has demonstrated that the ability to counter can be surpassed by using a higher form of Haki.
However, not many characters can utilize advanced Conqueror’s Haki, let alone mention High-Level Conqueror’s Haki. This is precisely where Nami can shine. During her two years in Weatheria, Nami learned to harness Wind Knots, and as observed in Egghead, these knots can store Haki.
Joy Boy knew how to use these wind knots and store his most potent Haki within them, allowing Emeth to evade Imu and confront the Marines. Nami could store Luffy’s Conqueror’s Haki within these wind knots and distribute it to those who cannot withstand the onslaught of Imu’s Conqueror’s Haki on their own. She will be a valuable asset in the upcoming battles and once again become a central character, just as she has done in many other arcs of One Piece.
