One Piece: Unveiling the Adventures of Monkey D. Luffy on His Quest to Become the Pirate King
The story of One Piece follows the thrilling journey of the main character, Monkey D. Luffy, as he strives to become the Pirate King, inspired by the legendary Shanks.
Initially, the narrative focuses primarily on Luffy’s adventures in the Dark Forest; however, it has evolved to hint at the broader implications related to the ongoing conflict involving the World Government, the Revolutionary Army, and Imu.
Throughout his journey, Luffy has liberated various countries and individuals, suggesting that he may ultimately lead a rebellion against the World Government. Recent events transpiring in Mary Geoise have further highlighted this intention.

We know that Imu is a mysterious figure at the top of the World Government hierarchy, known only to the Celestial Dragons. Imu resides in the Holy Land of Pangea, above Mary Geoise, and appears to have connections with Joy Boy from long ago. To this day, the details surrounding this enigmatic figure remain largely undisclosed.
Many One Piece fans speculate that Imu might be the final antagonist and a key character at the end of the series.
However, a surprising detail appears on the cover page of One Piece Volume 25, hinting at Imu’s potential downfall.

This cover page generated significant attention as it foreshadowed the imminent downfall of the new Emperors, long before Big Mom and Kaido faced their fates. The illustration features Buggy, Luffy, Shanks, and the Dark Forest, alongside a giant paper-eating goat in the center of the frame. Interestingly, the term “Kami” (paper) in Japanese can also symbolize a deeper meaning in the context of the creator Eiichiro Oda’s narrative.
In reality, Imu serves as the hidden ruler of the world, viewed by the World Government’s Celestial Dragons as a divine entity. Therefore, the image on the cover page of Volume 25 may allude to the imminent challenge posed to the “god” of the One Piece world. The implication of Shanks and the other figures surrounding this narrative reinforces this theory.
Shanks’ enigmatic smile could illustrate his indifference towards this group, aligning with the origins of the Figarland family. There is also speculation that Buggy could be a hidden member of the D. clan, which would further enrich the aforementioned theory.

Fans are eagerly waiting to see how Oda will develop this theory as the final conflicts unfold, especially following the recent events in Hachinosu and the increasing significance of the Dark Forest and the World Government in the story after the events at Egghead Island.
