The world of One Piece is a superlative creation, where Oda has crafted countless mysterious islands, each imbued with its own unique culture and specific rules. In this ever-expanding universe, Oda’s continuous addition of new arcs is not surprising. Fans have become accustomed to the myriad unique arcs, each featuring distinct characteristics, and what is even more captivating is that Oda continues to broaden the narrative scope as the story progresses.
In the upcoming Elbaf arc, Oda has subtly referenced various new arcs within the universe, and fans have quickly caught on to this detail. Moreover, Oda is not just elaborating on a singular new arc named Dosundada, but he is also hinting at a chapter that might be considered the rarest in the entire One Piece world!
Oda Reveals Secrets After the Dosundada Arc

In the world of One Piece, there exists a common thread that connects all arcs together: love. Oda has introduced many touching arcs over the years, and despite the challenges faced, there are characters who transcend obstacles, believing that love knows no bounds. Scopper Gaban – the left hand of Pirate King Roger – embodies this sentiment. He refers to himself as the messenger of love and is known to have married someone with a name that is not revealed, Ripley. Similarly, many other characters in the One Piece universe are not deterred by societal expectations and live according to their desires.
Usually, this leads to the emergence of various interconnected arcs, and Oda has hinted at this through Gaban. According to Gaban, the Buccaneers, Wotans, and Dosundada are all new arcs. While Buccaneers and Wotans are somewhat familiar, fans are unsure about what Dosundada entails. Thus, this question was sent to Oda in One Piece SBS Volume 112. Here is what the author responded:
Question: Hello Oda-san! What is the Dosundada arc? Is it a new arc involving a character and a giant? (Or could it involve a character and a giant’s offspring?)
Response: Hmm… Quite close! The answer is indeed a new arc involving both a character and a giant. The giant’s name “Tontatta” is derived from the sounds made by those with small feet. If you increase the volume a bit, it will turn into “Dosundada.” The relationship between the character and the giant is referred to as the “Zushindodo arc.” It is indeed quite rare.
The Rarest Arc in One Piece – Zushindodo Has Been Introduced
Interestingly, Oda did not just clarify about Dosundada but also unveiled another arc that could be considered the most peculiar and least understood of all, known as the Zushindodo arc. This arc occurs when a giant meets a Tontatta character.
This situation sounds rather whimsical, doesn’t it? Typically, a giant in One Piece stands around 20 meters tall, while a Tontatta character is merely about 20 cm tall. This means a giant would be 100 times larger than a Tontatta. Even the interactions of this arc are beyond common understanding, yet they exist, despite their rarity.
This revelation once again highlights Oda’s relentless creativity in building the One Piece universe, constantly expanding its horizons while also presenting surprising and intricate themes, all the while emphasizing that love can transcend any limitations pertaining to arcs and sizes.
