The final saga has officially begun with the Egghead arc, revealing many legends related to the world of One Piece, and this continues into the Elbaf arc. Elbaf has disclosed a lot of information, but what surprises many the most is that the main character revealed in it is Imu. With Imu presenting many new abilities, there are suggestions that they are related to a very powerful entity in the Holy Land.
Imu’s Character in One Piece So Far

Until now, the audience has been privy to various hints about Imu from the World Government, but Oda has decided to formally introduce Imu more significantly, especially in the Reverie segment of the story. Imu’s revelation is undoubtedly a shocking moment for the avid fans, particularly as this character has remained very mysterious until now. However, in this recent chapter of the Final Saga, many details have been unveiled. In the Elbaf arc, Imu decides to take action by utilizing the abilities of one of the Holy Land’s powerful entities, Gunko.
One thing that avid fans can be certain about Imu is that they possess immense power and a hidden identity that can change the world. Imu has likely existed since the Ancient Times and has deep connections with Arabasta, as Vivi’s ancestor, Queen Lily, vanished mysteriously and never returned. Imu’s strength remains largely a mystery, but Oda has allowed fans to glimpse a part of this power in the latest chapter of One Piece.
Imu’s Dark Powers May Have Been Revealed
One thing that avid fans have been eager to grasp since the revelation of the Holy Land’s Imu is the true extent of their powers. Fans are curious to know how powerful Imu is and if they can indeed be classified as the strongest character in the One Piece world. The latest chapter of One Piece has only shown a small part of Imu’s immense powers, which has provided fans with reasons to speculate about why Imu remains at the top of the world.

So far, fans have seen a few abilities that Imu may possess. Firstly, and most importantly, Imu can bestow any being with the ability to resurrect infinitely. This was seen in the scene involving the Celestial Dragons and the Holy Land. Only certain high-ranking individuals can cause destruction for their own benefit, suggesting the potential impact on the souls of the deceased rather than on the beings themselves.
Imu also appears to have the capability to bring forth similar abilities resembling those of dark entities. The strength displayed by the Celestial Dragons may not necessarily stem from dark powers, but rather be an example of the immense powers that Imu has the potential to grant. All of them seem to possess traits similar to darkness.

Imu can also control every individual and even seize the abilities of beings in certain circumstances. In One Piece chapter 1149, Imu seized Gunko’s abilities and could use them at will. Previously, it was clear that Gunko was also manipulated mentally, as they were not the main source but a product of Imu’s overwhelming dark strength.
Additionally, it seems as if Imu can absorb many Celestial Dragon abilities. In the Reverie arc, when Sabo threw a fire attack at Imu, Imu seemed to absorb it.
With all these elements in mind and all the symbols of the dark powers, it seems that Imu’s strength is none other than Leviathan, a mythical sea creature from the Holy texts. Ultimately, Gunko and Saturn also seem to be utilizing a force referred to as Abyss. Abyss is described as the mouth of the abyss in the Holy texts, but it also serves as the mouth of Leviathan. All these details hint at a deeper connection to random enigmas.
Do you think the lore surrounding Imu’s dark powers as Leviathan could lead to a significant revelation?
