After many years, Oda-sensei has finally hinted at the tragic event known as the God Valley Incident in his manga series. What is surprising is the connection between Kuma and this incident, which has made him the focal point of the story today.
Below is a detailed synopsis of One Piece Chapter 1099.
One Piece Chapter 1099 will be titled “Pacifista – The Peacekeeping Hero.” The new chapter begins with a direct continuation from the end of Chapter 1098. King Bekori aggressively attacks the king of the Goa Kingdom, destroying the palaces and slaughtering anyone who resists.

Amidst the chaos, Kuma ends up demolishing the royal palace and facing off against King Bekori. According to the people’s demands, he becomes a loyal servant of the Sorbet Kingdom. However, the true ruler of the kingdom is King Bulldog, while Kuma still resides in his humble home.
After these events, Bonney inadvertently consumes the Toshi Toshi no Mi, which allows her to manipulate the ages of herself and others.
While everyone is mourning the death of King Bekori, there are those who are still alive and have managed to escape. Bekori is the one who spread the rumors about Kuma and referred to him as “The Hero.” Hence, the navy is likely to mobilize forces to reclaim the Sorbet Kingdom.
Bekori launched another attack, but Kuma managed to fend for himself and retreated to the sea, becoming a target. Kuma has a very high bounty due to his terrifying strength. Bonney, on the other hand, lives under Conney’s care in the long-standing Sorbet Kingdom.
During this time, Kuma travels extensively across the globe, visiting various islands to seek a cure for Bonney’s ailments. Eventually, Kuma reunites with Dragon and the revolutionary army leaders on the ship “Wind Granma” at sea. Dragon discusses with Kuma the situation regarding Ivankov and Inazuma being caught by the navy.
Dragon also talks to Kuma about Vegapunk and reveals the location of his base, which is Egghead Island. Kuma expresses gratitude for Dragon’s information and mentions wanting to confront Luffy’s father once more if he doesn’t find a cure for Bonney.
After that, Kuma returns to the Sorbet Kingdom, meets Bonney, and calls her child in a box, heading towards Egghead Island. There, they encounter Vegapunk and discuss the treatment for Bonney’s condition.

Vegapunk examines Kuma’s blood and realizes that he is a Buccaneer. The scientist informs Kuma that if he is willing to become a template for the human army he is creating, Bonney will receive free treatment. Kuma agrees to the deal, transforming into the original model for the Pacifista project, also known as Clone Troopers.
The project is named “Pacifista” because Kuma refers to himself as “The Peacekeeping Hero,” which translates to Pacifista in Japanese.
Meanwhile, at Mary Geoise, Saint Saturn is attentively listening to the entire conversation between Kuma and Vegapunk and specifically comments: “What Vegapunk exposed is just a part of the capabilities of this system. I have a different idea…”
This chapter is expected to be an enhanced supplementary section and an interlude for the One Piece storyline, bringing back familiar characters, introducing new factions, and paving the way for future plot twists and conflicts. Indeed, the tensions and alliances will continue to shift, keeping readers on edge as we approach Chapter 1100.
Next week, don’t miss the new chapter!
