We have seen Luffy’s high points showcasing his strength in the Egghead arc, and there will be even more in the following chapters of the story. The Elbaf arc will possibly unveil his entire connection with Sun God Nika and Joyboy.
Shanks the Red-Haired
We have known from the very beginning that Shanks will play a crucial role throughout the entire story, even though he appears very rarely in One Piece. He shares a close relationship with Luffy, having given Luffy his iconic straw hat. Following this, we learn more about his connections with Gol D. Roger and that he is one of the Four Emperors. However, his true motives remain a mystery.
Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard) – One of Luffy’s Greatest Rivals in the One Piece Final Saga
In the One Piece Final Saga, Luffy will have to face off against his two greatest rivals: the World Government and Blackbeard. Initially a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, Blackbeard has caused great chaos, leading to Ace’s demise and becoming one of the Four Emperors. His goal seems to revolve around the One Piece treasure.
Buggy the Clown
When we first encountered Buggy, we had no idea he would become such a prominent character. Although he is not the most powerful (or intelligent) person, Buggy somehow managed to become a Yonko and leads the Cross Guild alongside Mihawk and Crocodile. His journey is still unfolding in the One Piece Final Saga.
Imu
The most mysterious character in One Piece is Imu, the secret ruler of the world. He sits on the Throne in Mary Geoise and holds immense power over the world’s fate. Imu seems to have the ability to erase anyone from existence, even entire islands. As the one pulling the strings behind the scenes of the World Government, he is a key antagonist in the final chapter of One Piece.
Monkey D. Dragon
Although Dragon does not appear often in One Piece, we always recognize him as an important character in the storyline. As the leader of the Revolutionary Army, he is the greatest threat to the current World Government. He possesses both immense political power and strong charisma. We can expect him to play a significant role in the final conflict alongside Luffy.
Sakazuki (Akainu)
One of the most hated characters in One Piece is Admiral Sakazuki. He is also the one who took Ace’s life during the Marineford War. Believing in ‘absolute justice,’ Sakazuki will not rest until he wipes out all pirates from the world. He is destined to face Luffy in the final saga of One Piece.
Sabo
While Luffy could not save Ace, he fortunately still has another brother. Sabo is not only Luffy’s brother but also the Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army. He possesses the Mera Mera no Mi powers from Ace. While infiltrating Reverie, Sabo witnessed the assassination of King Cobra and is now one of the very few aware of Imu’s existence.
Kuzan (Aokiji)
Once an Admiral, Kuzan has switched sides after losing his title to Admiral Sakazuki. He then became a powerful ally and eventually leads the Blackbeard Pirates. In the Egghead arc, he had a significant confrontation with his former mentor, Garp. Many believe Kuzan will confront Blackbeard in the Final Saga and aid Luffy in his fight against him.
Koby
Regarded by Garp as ‘the future of the Marines,’ Koby is the first friend Luffy made in One Piece. Despite their opposing paths, Koby has always respected Luffy and his dream of finding One Piece. However, after Garp’s defeat at Hachinosu and hearing Vegapunk’s global broadcast, Koby has resolved to help Luffy reach Laugh Tale.
Garling Figarland
One of the newly introduced characters, Figarland Garling holds a significant amount of power, both politically and physically. Furthermore, he has a close relationship with Uta, Shanks’ adopted daughter. Figarland Garling is also a former Warlord. These two aspects have led fans to speculate about his connection with Shanks.
Unnamed Swordsman
The final page of chapter 1121 showcases important characters in the Final Saga of One Piece. While we see many familiar faces, only one appears in shadowy form. All we know about this mysterious figure is that he is a swordsman and will likely play a significant role in the future. We can anticipate that the Final Saga will reveal his identity and connections with the remaining characters.
