This Summer, Exciting News for Manga Fans: One Punch Man Will Resume Serialization

With the manga’s hiatus now officially over, artist Yusuke Murata has taken to social media to discuss the excitement surrounding its return after a long break, as well as his feelings about tackling the challenges ahead. The manga is resuming after the conclusion of the Monster Association arc, and Saitama is still on his quest to find a worthy opponent, potentially facing the threat of his own defeat.
The last chapter of the manga ended on a cliffhanger, leaving many avid fans of One Punch Man eagerly anticipating the continuation of the story.
Yusuke Murata is Ready to Take Action
In a recent post on social media, Yusuke Murata expressed that the hiatus was necessary for him: “During the hiatus, I was able to focus on the things I love and fully unleash my creativity! I’m charged with energy!”
In May 2023, Murata hosted a live session on Twitter Space to interact with fans. During this session, he mentioned: “Every month, managing time for family, work, and personal life has been quite challenging. When I start working on a new anime, my health has significantly declined.”
Previously, Yusuke Murata often did not provide release schedules for the One Punch Man manga due to the immense pressure he faced in his work.
Meanwhile, although the One Punch Man anime has not yet officially announced its third season, JC Staff has released an official teaser to excite fans about Saitama’s return in the anime.
Here’s how the anime teaser describes the return of the “hero for fun”:
“After three years of ‘intensive training,’ he has become so strong that he could easily defeat any opponent. In reality, he is too powerful, even the strongest enemies he faces are just a mere challenge for him. The S-Class heroes gather and prepare to launch a rescue mission into the dark lair of the Monster Association to save the hostage. Meanwhile, Garou, a ‘monster human,’ is captured in the battle against the heroes, trapped deep within the lair of the Monster Association.”
