In recent weeks, several TikTokers have faced backlash for their inappropriate behavior as the year comes to a close. One such TikToker, known for his “New Year’s Eve” content, became the center of attention for his controversial actions.
Self-Promotion Gone Wrong: TikToker Faces Consequences for Misleading Content
A male TikToker has been accused of spreading negative and misleading information regarding activities at Dong Hoi Airport in a bid to gain views and likes quickly, prompting an investigation by the Quang Binh Police.
Previously, this individual shared content that included statements like, “No one survives out here,” “I’m not sure if I’m safe here,” and “I’m trying to find food and drink after being stranded for several days.” These videos garnered significant attention online, leading to many discussions that speculated negatively about the activities at the airport.

Upon verification, authorities confirmed that the misleading content was uploaded from social media accounts operated by N.T.T.N., a 23-year-old individual. At the police station, N. admitted to recording videos that falsely depicted activities at Dong Hoi Airport to gain likes and views on platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
Currently, N. has had the violating content removed and promised not to repeat such actions. On his personal page, the TikToker also uploaded a video acknowledging his wrongdoing and apologized to his audience.
Public Endangerment: TikToker Faces Legal Action
Bui Phuong Nam, also known as Nam Birthday, has been subjected to legal action by the police in Van Giang (Hung Yen) for public endangerment.
Reportedly, at around 4:55 AM on January 22, when authorities attempted to stop him for a traffic violation, Nam refused to comply and attempted to drive in the opposite direction. After being apprehended, he introduced himself as a TikToker with a considerable following. Not only did he fail to cooperate with law enforcement, but he also went live on social media, broadcasting the incident and soliciting viewers to comment and share, which added pressure to the situation. Despite being explained the gravity of his actions, Nam did not comply with the authorities.

As a result of the investigation, it was determined that Nam had violated several regulations. He failed to produce his driver’s license and was issued a citation for violating traffic laws, temporarily losing his driving privileges and facing further legal repercussions. Nam has since acknowledged his misconduct.
Another TikToker is currently under investigation by the security authorities of Hanoi for a separate incident involving the misuse of social media rights, violating the interests of the state and the public.
Previously, this individual had uploaded videos that caused confusion and panic, urging viewers to react and causing unrest among the public. Authorities are currently working with relevant departments to investigate and take appropriate legal actions against these violations.
