On April 11th (Vietnam time), Disney and Marvel released the first teaser trailer for the second part of the blockbuster Captain Marvel – The Marvels. While the video is set to create excitement, the spotlight is not solely on the superheroines, but rather on the South Korean actor Park Seo Joon, who many have been eagerly anticipating. Unlike his previous roles in Korean dramas, Park Seo Joon is causing a stir this time with his striking appearance.

However, what captivates the audience the most is his long hair, styled in a way reminiscent of a traditional Chinese warrior. Many viewers, upon first glance, fail to recognize the talented actor, instead drawing comparisons to his role in the drama Hwarang, where he also sported long hair.
Audience Reactions:
– The character design resembles an iconic superhero… but look at that hairstyle!!!
– Is Park Seo Joon going to be a superhero this time?
– Who styled his hair like that?
– Park Seo Joon’s previous short hairstyle seems to have been “minimized,” I wonder how long this look will last…
– Is he channeling his character from Itaewon Class?
– This new look really suits Park Seo Joon…

If Park Seo Joon truly embodies the character of Yan, his appearance in the film will differ significantly from the comic portrayal. In Marvel’s universe, Yan D’ Aladna has a more rugged hairstyle, shorter than what we see on screen. Additionally, his character exudes more strength and danger than Park Seo Joon’s current portrayal.

Regarding the plot, The Marvels continues the storyline from the after-credit scenes of the series Ms. Marvel. This time, alongside Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), two new heroines join the fight: Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani). The teaser highlights the connections between the “Marvels,” leading to some intense confrontations as they harness their powers, with the three girls navigating through numerous challenges and dangers together.
Ultimately, they embark on a journey into the universe to uncover the mystery behind their powers, starting with the enigmatic antagonist Marlo (played by Zawe Ashton), who serves as a formidable foe against the Kree. Can the three heroines break this “curse”? Alongside familiar Marvel characters, the film also brings back beloved figures such as Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and the cat Goose.

The Marvels officially premieres on November 10, 2023.
