On January 22, Bùi Phương Nam (born in 1997, residing in Văn Giang District, Hưng Yên Province, also known as TikToker “Nam Birthday”) was detained by the police of Văn Giang District (Hưng Yên Province) for investigation purposes, according to reports from Traffic News.
Nam was found to be driving under the influence early that morning. When traffic police requested to check his vehicle, Nam refused to comply and continued to livestream the incident on social media.
In the video, Nam challenged the police and demanded they show him the inspection documents, claiming that their actions were not standard protocol. Ultimately, he was apprehended by law enforcement.
According to VOV, after being taken to the police station, Nam’s blood alcohol level was measured and found to be significantly above the legal limit. The investigating agency is currently clarifying the violations to handle Nam according to legal regulations.
Nam’s video has received over 25,000 views and numerous comments, with most viewers advising him to avoid confrontation during police checks. Many also pointed out that driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting police authority is a serious offense.
