According to recent information shared, fans of the Naruto ninja series will soon be able to follow new animated films adapted from light novels featuring various characters in the Hidden Leaf Village, created by devoted fans.
The first animated film will adapt “Shikamaru Hiden” by Takashi Yano (which focuses on Shikamaru’s shadow manipulation), while the second film will be based on “Sasuke Shinden” by Shin Towasa (which tells Sasuke’s story).
If you are not aware, the Naruto manga series by Masashi Kishimoto concluded in 2014. Since then, Shueisha has released a total of 10 light novel volumes that tell side stories of various characters from the manga, including 6 Hiden volumes (secret stories) featuring characters like Kakashi, Shikamaru, Gaara, Sakura, the Akatsuki organization, and the Hidden Leaf Village.
Additionally, the remaining content includes the Shinden manga series with two volumes focusing on Itachi’s life, which will be adapted into the Naruto Shippuden anime series this year. Previously, the publisher also released a portion of Sasuke Shinden and plans to launch another titled “Naruto: Sasuke’s Story” next year.
Expectedly, the new animated films based on the Naruto light novels will be completed and released in early 2017.
