Recently, Physical: 100 – a program reminiscent of Squid Game – has taken the world by storm. With only one final episode left to find the winner who will receive a prize of 300 million won (over 5.7 billion VND), the production team has upped the ante with increasingly difficult challenges. The atmosphere has become intense as the remaining 20 contestants compete, showcasing their strengths and strategies to outlast one another.
While it’s not surprising that the show is a survival-themed program inspired by Squid Game, the challenges in Physical: 100 are played with straightforward rules that make them just as thrilling as the show.
To rank the contestants, Physical: 100 starts with a “last man standing” challenge. Based on their strength, the longer contestants can hold their positions, the better their chances of choosing their opponents in the next challenges.
As the challenges progressed, the production team introduced simple rules but required contestants to exert all their strength against their formidable opponents.
Moving on to the second challenge, all contestants were divided into 10 groups to build a hanging bridge and cross over to drop sand into a barrel. The key point in this challenge was that the bridge had to be built incredibly sturdy, as it posed a significant risk to the safety of all participants.
As the difficulty increased, the strongest “warriors” were tasked with the third challenge: forming a 10-member alliance to pull a cart weighing 1.5 tons. The teams had the most time to complete the challenge, making it a crucial test of the program’s endurance. This challenge required contestants to come together creatively, as they needed to figure out different ways to pull the cart to ensure they could survive.
Before reaching the top 5 and entering the finals, the challenges intensified significantly. In the recent episode 8, the remaining 20 contestants battled in a group match to secure their spots. With 5 rankings, each member had to take turns representing their group. Four contestants were chosen to compete head-to-head. Only one person would survive, while the others would be eliminated. The rules were strict, leaving the contestants feeling the pressure as they prepared for the final challenge of Physical: 100.
In the “Atlas’s Challenge” ranking, contestants had to carry a heavy load on their backs until only one person remained. This challenge is what they refer to as the “last man standing challenge.”
In the second ranking “Prometheus’s Choice,” four finalists from four groups faced various obstacles to win the prize. Three contestants would be eliminated in turn.
All contestants had to overcome obstacles quickly to claim the prize.
In the ranking “Icarus’s Challenge,” the rope was lowered, requiring contestants to balance on it without falling.
Contestants had to climb the rope to avoid being eliminated.
According to the rules of the next ranking, “Ouroboros’s Tail,” four contestants had to run to touch the person in front of them to avoid elimination. Only one contestant would survive each time and not be touched. This was a segment that challenged the contestants’ endurance.
Contestants had to keep running until three competitors were eliminated.
In the final ranking, “Sisyphus’s Task,” contestants had to lift a weight of 100 kg until only one remained. This action was repeated until only one contestant was left standing.
The challenge forced every contestant to face their limits.
With only one episode left to air, fans of Physical: 100 will soon know the identity of the “strongest” contestant who will take home the grand prize. What kind of difficult challenges will the finale present? This is a question that the audience of Physical: 100 is eagerly awaiting to uncover.
