Lady Gaga’s portrayal of Harley in the sequel to Joker does not mean she is replacing Margot Robbie, who played Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad. According to director Todd Phillips, “Madame Quack” will become the Joker’s love interest in a different DC universe, unrelated to the remaining superhero films from DC.
Not only did the announcement of Lady Gaga’s involvement in the sequel shock fans, but Director Todd Phillips also surprised everyone with a bold decision: Joker 2 will be a musical. This is a significant shift, as it has never been done before in the superhero genre.
