Coach T1 Admits BLG’s Ban on Skarner Has Provided LCK Representatives with Many Advantages
Currently, it has been quite some time since the end of the 2024 World Championship finals. Additionally, after the season concluded, the League of Legends community has been continuously drawn into the drama surrounding roster changes that have emerged since the new season kicked off less than a month ago – T1. Recently, several discussions from individuals involved in the finals have sparked considerable interest among viewers.

According to T1’s coach Roach, T1 has been studying Bilibili Gaming very meticulously since the conclusion of the semifinal match against Gen.G, and has discovered that Skarner from BLG is indeed quite powerful. Coach Roach stated: “In the finals against BLG, before the match started, we had utilized Skarner very effectively; we can say it was the best we’ve played. We had to come up with counter strategies against this champion at various stages. However, I don’t understand why they continuously banned Skarner, which allowed T1 to play much more comfortably.”

In fact, although the match went through all five games and featured some “divine” plays from Faker to secure the victory, Skarner was absent in 4 out of 5 games. Notably, BLG’s ban on Xun was the only player to use Skarner with a 100% win rate across these 5 matches.

T1 Demonstrates Strong Performance
Regardless of the circumstances, it must be clear that T1 has made some careful choices and their players have shown outstanding performance when necessary. T1’s victory came from many factors, and it could be argued that BLG’s “self-sabotage” allowed T1 to display remarkable performance in the recent finals.

In the new season, T1 has undergone several personnel changes, and BLG has also made similar adjustments. Therefore, if this current matchup is repeated at tournaments like MSI or Worlds, it will undoubtedly be a highly compelling showdown and will apply significant pressure on both teams.
