T1’s “Dismal Stats” at LCK Cup 2025
During the LCK Cup 2025, T1 made a surprising substitution, replacing Gumayusi with Smash – a member promoted from T1 Challengers. However, this substitution did not yield any positive outcomes.

Yet, the controversy surrounding the performance of T1 continued, especially as they concluded the LCK Cup 2025 in 6th place, facing First Stand and revealing Smash’s statistics that “outperformed” even Faker. However, the most disheartening part is the statistics of T1’s players, even though their lineup has been centered around this team.

Specifically, despite high KDA, gold/minute rates, Smash’s kill participation per minute or kill share (on average) is considerably low, creating a noticeable gap. For instance, when compared to a top player like Deokdam, who has the highest kill participation at LCK Cup 2025, Smash’s participation rate is lower (129.3% compared to 150.3%).

T1 Needs to Improve Data Collection Before Regular Seasons Begin
On many occasions, numerous T1 fans expressed immense disappointment when witnessing Smash’s statistics. Not just regarding superstar players like Ruler, Viper, or Aiming; even Jiwoo or Deokdam could demonstrate better statistics than Smash, which is hard to comprehend.

T1’s 6th place at the LCK Cup 2025 is indeed surprising, especially when looking at the performance of teams compared to other competitors. However, if the champions of the 2024 World Championship continue to exhibit this state as the Regular Seasons begin, a consistent downward trend seems unavoidable. This is particularly concerning as 2025 only has the Regular Seasons as the national league, which forces teams to focus intensely and leaves no room for mistakes.
