While fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are eagerly awaiting news about the third season, Studio MAPPA has made a significant announcement at this year’s Anime Expo. The film focusing on the Hidden Inventory Arc (Arc Hồi Ức Thương Niên) will be released at the end of this month, once again diving into the youthful days of Gojo and Geto.
Interestingly, MAPPA’s President Manabu Otsuka and Vice President Hiroya Hasegawa confirmed that this film will not only compile existing scenes but also introduce many new elements and implement changes that were not present in the original manga of the second part. Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are certainly not going to want to miss this opportunity at the end of the month!

Significant Changes to Note in the Upcoming Film
At a special panel during Anime Expo, MAPPA’s executives revealed intriguing details regarding this new film. The soundtrack will be meticulously refined to ensure higher quality, providing an intense auditory experience during movie screenings. However, that’s not all!
The two heads of MAPPA also confirmed that the new film will encompass a completely new storyline, diving deeper into the lives of Gojo and Geto during their turbulent youth. The exploration of the Jujutsu Tech’s foundation before the catastrophic events occurred – when the characters were still innocent – is something that many fans have longed to see. Given that this prequel has been a long-anticipated topic, transforming it into a movie allows for a more profound narrative.

The Prelude to Season Two of “Jujutsu Kaisen”
Although the Hidden Inventory Arc brings many contemplative elements regarding Gojo and Geto, it only constitutes a part of the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen. The Shibuya Incident Arc has become one of the largest events of the year within the anime world, showcasing Suguru Geto and his minions launching an attack on Shibuya City. The most intense confrontation of Gojo within Geto’s Prison Realm unfolded, where Yuji Itadori and his friends found themselves in a chaotic spiral.
Unfortunately, there has been no announcement at Anime Expo regarding the release date for Season Three. However, another panel focusing on Jujutsu Tech will take place on Saturday, July 6, so fans still have hope.
With the conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen Season Two featuring Yuji Itadori becoming a blazing beacon and with no one but Yuta Okkotsu set to take on the leading role, many fans are still eagerly looking forward to the next developments. Although the manga by Gege Akutami concluded last year, there are still many battles and significant events yet to unfold, ensuring plenty more anime content to come.
