In the images obtained by Page Six on Saturday, the 57-year-old actor was spotted with tousled hair, wearing a black zip-up hoodie, blue athletic pants, and a white shirt. The photos were taken on Friday (local time) while the actor and the filming crew were preparing to shoot a scene before a film set.
However, the physical transformation is not the only change that Downey has undergone while working on the new film. According to the captured images, Downey appeared in various shots with a noticeably leaner physique. It was evident from these images that Robert’s frame was looking quite different.
Previously, Robert had also been spotted looking unrecognizable due to his dark hair and beard. The reason for Downey’s continuously changing appearance in these images from the film set is because he has been cast in a supporting role in an HBO adaptation.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, in the new film, the “Sherlock Holmes” star plays a CIA operative deployed to Orange County, California, and is also the film’s director.
According to IMDb, “The Sympathizer” follows a half-French, half-Vietnamese man who once served as a spy for the Communist forces during the Vietnam War.
In November, Downey was also seen by fans showcasing his new look at a promotional event. The “Avengers” star attended a screening of the film “Sr.” during a time when he was promoting a new project.
