Solo Leveling is currently trending in the anime community, with its second season airing this winter. Now, this brand has officially announced that a new live-action adaptation is in the works.
Kakao Entertainment has officially confirmed that Solo Leveling will have a live-action adaptation.
While no detailed production schedule has been disclosed, the company has announced that they are in the “planning and development stage” for the live-action film adaptation of the popular webtoon, with work on the script currently underway.

Previously, Heaeun Kwak, the creative director of D&C WEBTOON, revealed a live-action project for this series was being developed, but this is the first time it has been officially confirmed.
While there is still no specific information regarding the release date for the live-action adaptation, fans are eager to see Solo Leveling come to life on the big screen. This project is anticipated to draw significant attention from the South Korean entertainment industry. It remains to be seen whether it will be a feature film or a series.
As for the author, Chugong, the original web novel was published on KakaoPage from July 2016 to March 2018, comprising a total of 14 volumes. The webtoon adaptation, illustrated by Jang Sung-rak, began serialization in March 2018 and concluded in December 2021. An anime adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures is set to premiere its first season this winter (from January to March), followed by a second season titled “Arise from the Shadow,” which is currently in production.
