Solo Leveling Season 2 – Arise From the Shadow – has officially concluded just ahead of the new anime wave set to debut in the Spring 2025 anime season, marking the highest level of Sung Jinwoo reached in the anime to date.
The Solo Leveling anime first introduced us to Sung Jinwoo, the weakest hunter at the start of Season 1, who narrowly escaped death thanks to a secret system that empowered him as he leveled up. We have followed Jinwoo as he battled various formidable monsters and enemies, and by the end of Season 2, he has never been stronger.
Sung Jinwoo Reaches Level 100 in Solo Leveling

Solo Leveling Season 2 has showcased a much stronger Jinwoo compared to what we witnessed at the beginning of the first season, especially after battling some incredibly powerful monsters. The final episode of Season 2 confirms that Jinwoo has officially reached Level 100 and possesses the potential to undertake a mission that he could never have faced before.
Although Episode 13 did not feature any major battles, it cleverly introduced new mysteries and laid the groundwork for the overarching narrative, opening the door for the future of Solo Leveling Season 3.
Jinwoo Just Acquired the Most Powerful Shadow Soldier, Beru

Similar to what Jinwoo did towards the end of Season 1 after defeating Igris, he decided to utilize the shadow extraction technique on the corpse of the Ant King. Although Jinwoo was unable to extract Igris’s shadow during their first encounter, he was surrounded by a powerful dark shadow in the presence of the Ant King. The reason behind this is still unknown, but the mysteries of the system will be resolved as the story of Solo Leveling progresses.
The Ant King is a high-tier shadow soldier, meaning he exists at a higher rank than Jinwoo’s other shadow soldiers, including Igris, who was the strongest until now. Furthermore, Beru can communicate and displays a degree of loyalty that is quite remarkable towards Jinwoo, having even assisted him in defeating the soldiers that had previously fled from Jeju Island.
Beru serves as an incredible asset to Jinwoo’s army, transforming into a powerful ally, as evidenced in the climactic scenes of Solo Leveling Season 2, where he fought alongside Jinwoo within the Dungeon. Beru has also become a beloved character in the manhwa.
What’s Next for Sung Jinwoo After Reaching Level 100 in Solo Leveling?

Now that Sung Jinwoo has reached Level 100 at the conclusion of Solo Leveling Season 2 – Arise From the Shadow, it is truly uncertain how far he can advance from this point onward. He has become much stronger than all other Rank S Hunters in South Korea, and the Jeju Island incident has confirmed that he is also significantly more powerful than Rank S Hunters in Japan. However, other Rank S Hunters featured in the final episode may pose challenges to Jinwoo at his new high level, as countries like China and the United States take pride in their own Rank S hunters.
Solo Leveling has yet to announce any details regarding potential returns for Season 3 of the anime, but its success suggests we will see a new season announced in the future. There are indeed many unresolved plot threads in the final episode that not only concern the new Hunters but also the formidable monsters that might rival Sung. However, as has been the anime’s motif to this point, Sung may well overcome all these challenges as his level continues to rise beyond 100 in the future.
