Nearly three years after the conclusion of the Solo Leveling series, the manhwa world is once again buzzing with the sequel titled Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. Officially launched on KakaoPage on August 1, 2024, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok centers around Sung Suho, the son of Sung Jinwoo, following a narrative path reminiscent of how Naruto was portrayed alongside Boruto.
Suho embarks on a journey to level up and becomes stronger for various reasons that differ from his father’s. While readers may hope that Suho will follow in Jinwoo’s footsteps and hone similar skills, Suho is determined to forge his own unique abilities, making the sequel a fresh and distinct experience.
Now, let’s explore all of Suho’s strengths, abilities, and skills in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok!

Initial Blessings of Suho
The Great Spellcaster Kandiaru’s Blessing
Similar to Jinwoo, one of the first buffs that Suho receives after breaking the seal of his latent powers is The Great Spellcaster Kandiaru’s Blessing. This blessing ensures that Suho has a long and robust life. The main description in this state is a buff concerning health and longevity, allowing Suho to be immune to diseases and toxins, including poison, while also increasing his recovery speed.
Ruler’s Authority
One of Suho’s central abilities within his skill set is Ruler’s Authority. Suho was born with this ability, inheriting it from Jinwoo. As seen in the conclusion of Solo Leveling, Suho has demonstrated a strong affinity with Ruler’s Authority since childhood, although he unlocks it in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok only after breaking the seal of his latent powers. This ability allows Suho to manipulate objects, monsters, and even people at will, including his own body. This skill also enables him to summon a spectral hand to attack.
Shadow Monarch Abilities with Unique Enhancements
Shadow Extraction
The first ability Suho acquires from the Shadow Monarch is Shadow Extraction. Suho obtains this skill through a special rune crystal found in the Shadow Dungeon. Similar to Jinwoo in Solo Leveling, Suho can summon shadows of fallen enemies and transform them into his soldiers, although he doesn’t have the Shadow Preservation ability, meaning the number of shadows he can maintain is somewhat limited.
Shadow Manipulation/Transformation
Much like Jinwoo encased himself in shadow armor in later stages of Solo Leveling, Suho can also transform shadows into various forms, such as creating gauntlets using Shadow Manipulation. Suho unlocks this skill when Shadow Extraction reaches level 2, allowing him to merge different shadows together to create a hybrid creature (chimera) or even alter the appearance of his shadow soldiers to produce enhanced forms.
Shadow Creation
After unlocking Shadow Domain, Suho acquires a unique ability of the Shadow Monarch that even Jinwoo did not possess, known as Shadow Creation. This skill allows Suho to convert shadows into physical objects within the system, fully integrating with specific stats and buffs. This ability is limited only by Suho’s imagination, with the sole condition being that shadows must be transformed into objects that cannot revert back into soldiers. Besides objects, Shadow Creation is believed to potentially create an entirely different entity, although the specifics of this are yet to be revealed in the second season of the manhwa Solo Leveling: Ragnarok.

Unique Bond Skills
Beast Possession
One of the most distinctive powers Suho possesses is a bond skill that connects him with other Monarchs. The first bond skill Suho unlocks is with Grey, the Beast Monarch, known as Beast Possession. This bond skill grants Suho an astonishing transformation, turning his hair white and taking on a Super Saiyan-like appearance. This ability consumes 1 mana per second and significantly boosts Suho’s strength while enhancing his sensory perception akin to a beast.
The Demonic Strike
The second bond skill that Suho has unlocked to date is with Esil, the last surviving member of the high-born bloodline, becoming the inheritor of Baran, the Monarch of White Flames in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. This bond skill allows Esil to transfer all of her energy to Suho, enabling him to unleash a powerful strike against his enemies. The damage and energy transfer depend on the level of the ability acquired. The energy accumulation increases when Esil defeats a magical creature and absorbs its soul.
Bond Skill with Ammut
Suho has also encountered the inheritor of the Monarch of the Iron Body, Ammut, who is currently training him. However, Suho has not yet unlocked the bond skill with Ammut due to the different levels of strength required, and he hopes to unlock this bond skill once he reaches level 80. Although there’s limited information about this skill, considering the Monarch it relates to, the bond skill with Ammut could be a defensive ability related to Strength Enhancement.

Other Minor Skills and the New Changes in Ragnarok
In addition to these main skills and abilities, Suho possesses several minor skills and buffs, including:
Tenacity
This skill increases Suho’s resistance to physical attacks by 20%, eventually reaching up to 40% and 60% by the end of the first season of the manhwa.
Slashing Storm
This skill consumes 50 mana and allows Suho to unleash a series of attacks on multiple opponents simultaneously using a single strike.
Hand-to-Hand Combat
Increases the damage dealt by physical attacks.
Strength Booster
This skill Suho acquires as a reward from training with Ammut, helping to boost his strength by 20%.
Overall, while Suho inherits many abilities similar to Jinwoo, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok strives to establish a new system of powers that maintains a fresh perspective for readers. This allows Suho to avoid becoming merely a copy of his father in this sequel, while simultaneously bringing him a unique identity compared to other renowned manga and manhwa sequels.
