The web novel Solo Leveling Ragnarok focuses on the professional transformation of Sung Suho. Since the beginning of the adaptation into film, fans have been curious about Suho’s role in the story, especially considering that his father was the strongest being in the entire universe. Suho is constantly striving to reach the level of Jinwoo and discover his true purpose in the battle against Itarim.
Jinwoo is the Shadow Monarch, and to reach his father’s divine level, Suho must also become a Monarch. The storyline has hinted that Suho will transform into the Monarch of Destruction right from the start, and after a long wait, Ragnarok has finally revealed the new title of Sung Suho, and it is not what many expected.
Sung Suho has finally become a king in Solo Leveling Ragnarok

Itarim’s realm is currently engulfing the Earth. While Sung Jinwoo fights against external forces, humanity still needs a protector. Therefore, Sung Suho has utilized his abilities to strengthen himself, filling the void left by his father’s absence.
Suho must face the Dark Shadow Monarch Antares, the leader of the Void Army. The system has helped Suho gain the power necessary to confront this formidable opponent. That moment finally arrives in the web novel Solo Leveling Ragnarok, and that line has attracted the attention of Antares, the King of the Void.

Many Solo Leveling fans were initially worried that after absorbing Antares, Sung Suho would become the Monarch of Destruction. However, Ragnarok has confirmed that even after absorbing Antares’s Dark Shadow Monarch, Suho’s new title after the transformation is “Monarch of Transcendence.”
It can be said that Antares’s Dark Shadow Monarch has been reborn in Suho but under a new name. Clearly, titles like Monarch of Destruction and Dragon King have been within his grasp, but Suho seems reluctant to promote these titles after gaining such immense power. He desires to maintain his unique energy source for good purposes. As established in the novel, Suho cannot become the “King of Monsters” as he is human, and he certainly does not want to become the “King of Humanity.”
Sung Suho proudly boasts many titles

The title “Monarch of Transcendence” is indeed very fitting for Sung Suho, but it is not the only achievement he has obtained since his professional transformation. Notably, when overcoming each challenge, Suho has successfully defeated Antares’s Dark Shadow. As Antares once said, he had to exert a lot of effort to overcome the Border of the next life, and in doing so, he was granted the title “Protector of the World Tree.”
While Jinwoo is busy battling against the formidable forces of Itarim outside of the universe, Sung Suho has taken it upon himself to build a Monarch army. Ragnarok has also introduced several new Monarch names, like Arsha who is the Monarch of the Void, or Thomas Andre who has become the Monarch of Conquest. However, Sung Suho, with the title Monarch of Transcendence, significantly surpasses the new Monarchs in terms of influence.
Although not clearly stated in the narrative, Sung Suho may be leading an army against other Monarchs from Itarim. Sung Jinwoo is a Monarch of a different kind, and as the Shadow Monarch, he does not require external assistance to combat Itarim, at least not until now.

However, Sung Suho must protect the Earth from the invading forces now coming through the Tower, and he certainly cannot afford to lose himself in the process of protecting humanity. Therefore, while strengthening himself through the system, it is equally important for him to build a strong army to assist in this battle.
The path that Suho is currently walking is not easy. Until now, he has left a significant impression through his unwavering will, but as time goes on, Suho will have to confront his father’s legacy with the name he carries. He must learn to adapt to this new form of great power while ensuring the safety of his comrades in battle. Jinwoo has made great efforts to prevent Itarim from accessing the Earth, but the possibility of that scenario occurring sooner than anticipated cannot be ignored. When that day comes, Sung Suho will lead the final battle with the support of other Monarchs, as no one knows if Jinwoo can assist in time or not.
Regardless of the circumstances, Sung Suho has become a completely different individual, and his new form truly is awe-inspiring. The reality is that we are witnessing a collaboration that has long been awaited between father and son, and this will only occur when Itarim finds a way to penetrate the Earth.
What do you think the collaboration between Sung Jinwoo and Sung Suho will look like in the final battle?
